Accordion Potatoes
Potatoes cut to stretch like an accordion — a visual masterpiece.
30 min · 2 servings
Ingredients
- Large oblong Potatoes (peeled or unpeeled)
- 2 Chopsticks (or skewers)
- Melted Butter + Garlic powder + Parsley
- Skewers (for holding shape)
Method
- Place a potato between two chopsticks (prevents cutting all the way through).
- Side 1: Make vertical straight cuts all along the potato.
- Side 2: Flip the potato. Make diagonal cuts (45-degree angle) all along.
- Gently pull ends; the potato should stretch open like a slinky.
- Push a skewer through the center to hold it stretched.
- Brush with garlic butter getting into all grooves.
- Air Fry at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes until crispy.
Chef's tip: Go slowly with the cuts — even spacing makes the accordion effect more dramatic
