Volcano Cheese Ramen

Volcano Cheese Ramen

A towering, erupting bowl of spicy noodles smothered in a molten cheese lava.

Volcano Cheese Ramen

10 min · 1 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 packet Spicy Korean Ramen (like Shin Ramyun)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 slice American cheese
  • 1 tsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
  • Green onions

Method

  1. Boil the ramen noodles in a small pot with the soup base until just cooked. Do not drain the broth.
  2. Pile the noodles high in the center of the pot to look like a mountain peaking out of the broth.
  3. Crack the raw egg directly into the center of the noodle mountain.
  4. Cover the noodles and egg entirely with the mozzarella and American cheese.
  5. Cover the pot with a lid for 2 minutes until the cheese is completely melted and oozing down the sides like lava. Top with chili flakes and green onions.
